The Plant Engine
A 7m high globe in glass and steel providing a hydroponic growing space to explain the process of photosynthesis.
Surrounded by exquisite automata by Paul Spooner illustrating the essential services that plants provide.
The Processor
A huge interactive sculpture by Rob Higgs. Made from scrap metal and titled ‘a sledgehammer to crack a nut’ it is a graphic demonstration of the absurdity of over-processing plants.
The Resource Files
An oversized set of filing cabinets whose drawers pop open randomly to reveal artefacts and information to the surprise and delight of visitors.
Wall of Fridges
Effective and hugely popular interactive message board on which visitors leave their photographs, thoughts and ideas.
Locker Lives
Real artefacts from diverse lives displayed in a thought provoking locker scene.
Themed display cabinets
Four themed display cabinets sympathetically designed to their individual subject matter. Charming and humorous models mix with automata, film and graphic illustration to tell the stories of water, biodiversity, climate and cycles in nature.
